- The AnimeIowa AMV Contest is open to all registered attendees of the con.
A winning contestant must be present at the convention in order to receive any prize or award related to the AMV contest.
Due to conflicts of interest related to judging, staff members are not permitted to compete in the judged contest,
but may submit films to be screened and thus compete for the Audience Choice award.
- Contestants may enter up to 3 videos in the judged contest.
If you enter multiple videos please indicate which one or two videos you want us to prioritize for entry into the contest for judging.
If cuts need to be made, we'll cut the lower priority video(s) first.
- Each entry may not exceed 5 minutes in running time.
A few seconds over is acceptable. Exceptions will be considered but are NOT guaranteed.

at the time of submission and must be a resolution of at least 640x480.

- No Music with swearing, drug references, or anything else explicit in nature.
This is a family con, keep that in mind when sending in your AMV(s).
- Your entry in the contest does not guarantee that the video will be shown during the AMV event.
We screen all videos to make sure the content is acceptable for our viewing audience.
- All submissions must be an original composition of the contestant.
Submitting the composition of another will be grounds for disqualification of all entries submitted by that contestant.
